Taking and Editing Orders
A detailed guide on how to open a table, add items, and manage orders (quantities, comments, splitting items, deleting) on the RestIQ sales screen.
To take and manage an order in the system, follow these steps:
On the floor plan (main screen), select the desired hall from the left panel, then tap on an available table.

Enter the number of guests seated at the table in the pop-up window.

The order screen will open. Using the top tabs, you can assign items to specific guests (Guest 1, Guest 2) from the start, making it easier to split the bill later.

After adding items from the menu, tap the "Print" button in the bottom right corner to send preparation tickets to the kitchen and bar.

To quickly increase the quantity of an ordered item, select it and tap the "+" button.

To decrease the quantity, use the "-" button.

To enter a custom, exact, or fractional quantity (e.g., 1.5 portions), tap the "123" numeric button.

Use the on-screen keypad to enter the specific amount and tap "OK".

To add a special request or note to a dish, select the item and tap the comment ("...") button.

Type your request (e.g., "cold," "no onions") using the keyboard and save.

The saved comment will appear in green text right below the item's name.

To split a single dish among multiple guests, tap the "scissors" button.

Choose into how many equal parts the item should be divided.

To remove an item added by mistake, select it and tap the delete (trash can) button.

When returning to the floor plan, you will see that the occupied table is now active and displays a timer showing how long the guests have been seated.
